Good Saturday to our Woori Youth! How have you all been? Just when it feels like this pandemic is going to be over, cases are multiplying. We seem to live in such an impatient world. Vigilance and sacrifice is laid waste to freedom to do what we want. I hope that you all keep up the vigilance in staying safe. This week’s sermon is from the Gospel of John 7:1-9. Please take a few minutes of your time to read and maybe discuss with your family members as to what these verses mean. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to honor our Creator, Father, and Savior, our Lord above all lords on the day when He rested after creating all that is good!
For everything and everyone, there is a time in which all things happen. In this fast-paced world, we want everything to happen as fast as we want and exactly in the way we want it to. But ultimately, we as Christians, followers of Christ, the anointed One of God, forget that we are not on our time, we are on God’s time! Even Jesus tells His disciples in John 7:8:
“You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.”
We have to always await patiently for His goodwill to happen, not only in our lives but for our salvation through Him who is the Master of creation and time. Anxiety, frustration, and anger are the results of our impatience when things in our life do not go the way we want it to go when we want it. Do you guys remember one of my stout beliefs that I have? From that song by Carrie Underwood? “Jesus told the wheel, Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go So give me one more chance And save me from this road I'm on Jesus, take the wheel.” Let go in trying to steer which way you WANT your life to go, and allow God to drive you towards the path that you NEED to go. His path has all the necessary rest stops, “Buc’ees”, and “Starbucks” that we need to ensure that our lives reach the final destination that we patiently wait for, which is eternal life and our return to our Creator. I hope that you all are enjoying the “stay at home” time. Instead of being frustrated, try to understand that this is a small part of God’s will for all of us to spend more time with our family. In this busy world, family and faith have taken a back seat to unnecessary social causes and the blame game. I hope that these times reunite and strengthen our families on whom the foundation that is everlasting. Have a great weekend and week patiently awaiting all the good Jesus has planned for each one of us. Stay safe and hoping and praying to see you in a joyous celebration of our Father at His house soon.
